My Home: Julia Child’s French Cottage

Many may not really know Julia Child, understandably so since she’s not sort of a movie star but a culinary legend who had long left us wanting for more. But, she was one who really loved France and this we could see when she and her husband Paul built a 1,500 square foot cottage in Provence. Oh, that was back in the mid-1960s when her little house was dubbed La Pitchoune or ‘The Little One’.

Now, it’s for sale..

Well, how about the kitchen? Hmm… so this is how a great cook has her stuff fixed, huh? Not really grandeur but easy to ‘pluck for service’. Just look at the creativity. The pegboards. Really nice!

And Alexander Kraft even says the kitchen remains almost exactly the way Julia left it — hey, it’s like a piece of her — no wonder!

The cottage is said to have 3 bedrooms actually and all with updated en suite bathrooms. Indeed, they’re little but very homey..
