Cocktail: How to Make a Daiquiri

Do you like rum? Then our cocktail drink for today would excite you — just like Ernest Hemingway and JFK! It’s the Daiquiri!

And here’s how to make it..

Oh, you must love the shaking, huh?! Hehe.

Anyway, another simple yet fascinating drink, alright! In fact, t’is one of the six basic drinks listed in The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks. So, it’s like a must that you try this if ever you go to bars.

Yet again, this also has more than a few variations. And here’s just some of ’em..

Hemingway Daiquiri — or papa doble. Two and a half jiggers of white rum, juice of two limes and a half grapefruit, six drops of maraschino liqueur, and without sugar.

Banana Daiquiri. Regular daiquiri with half a banana.

Avocado Daiquiri. Regular daiquiri with half an avocado.

While it doesn’t matter much if the sugar is white or brown, it’d be good to remember though to put in the sugar first when making a Daiquiri. Let the lime dissolve it first hand (not the ice or what) before the shaking.

Adjust the taste by adding your chosen fruit as in its variations. Be careful though.
